Growing up with a strong interest in philosophy and alternative healing therapies, I found my path to the teachings and practice of yoga roughly almost five years ago. When the time came to make the life altering decision to follow my heart, live a more holistic life, and abandon the bad habits I grew too comfortable with, I realized how beneficial yoga could be in my life – or anybody else’s for that matter! I strongly believe in its therapeutic value from simply calming the mind, to making a major impact in the lives of those who suffer from many spiritual, physical, mental or emotion ailments. In March of 2015, I set off to Rishikesh, India – the yoga capital of the world – to obtain my 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Shiva Yoga Peeth under the guidance of Swami Sudhir Anandji, as well the other incredibly knowledgeable yoga masters who were a part of the training course. With an intense study of philosophy, meditation, pranayama, anatomy, kriyas and asanas, I combine each of these disciplines into my classes to spread the knowledge of the sacred practices in hopes to accompany others on their yogic journey. By creating spiritually uplifting, playful classes with a strong emphasis on alignment and safety, all are welcomed! Classes are open to beginners who have never stepped on a mat and lifelong practitioners; I strive to help others develop the comfort to explore their own world of yoga that has been awaiting them all along.
